A Kapampangan OFW gets inside a “Balikbayan” box just to surprise her beloved family after four years of being away from each other.
A Facebook user named Ann Gellie Mamangun-Genaro has shared a heartwarming video of her reunion with her beloved family. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that Ann Gellie gets out of the balikbayan, which has been delivered to their house in Pulungbulu, Angeles City. She gets inside the box to surprise her family.
The OFW’s parents named Rowena at Angelito Mamangun were shocked after their daughter get out of the balikbayan box. The family members get emotional and even cried tears of joy during the memorable moment.
According to the Kapampangan OFW, she has been working at JRS in Dubai for eight years. However, she was not able to return to her family in the Philippines for four years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Pinay migrant worker has decided to get inside the box to surprise her parents. She used a small fan to ventilate herself.
“Bale almost 8yrs na po ako ofw sa dubai, and almost 4yrs nako di nakakauwi kc nag pandemic, sa JRS Express po ako nag tatrabaho sa dubai, kaya naisipan ko na ipa deliver ang sarili ko sa jrs (sa kanto lang namin nila ako sinakay) may mga butas din ang box at may maliit na electric fan ako. Kaya nakahinga nmn.
“Pag ka open kc nang box naka harap ako sa tatay ko kaya sya una ko nakita, nung niyakap kc nya ko namutla na sya sa sobrang gulat at nahirapan sya makahinga, kaya mas na focus ako sa knya.
