Herlene Budol goes to Raffy Tulfo and complained about her ex-manager
HERLENE BUDOL – The Kapuso TV host-comedienne complained about her former manager on the public service program of Senator Raffy Tulfo of “pocketing” her talent fee worth P1 million.
Known as “Hipon Girl”, Herlene rose to fame when she joined Wowowin’s segment called Willie of Fortune.
Willie Revillame, later on, decided to make her a regular host of his show because of her talent and funny jokes.
Aside from hosting, she also ventured into acting and later on vlogging. Currently, she has over 2 million subscribers on YouTube via her channel “Herlene Hipon.”
In 2020, she made headlines following her exchange of words with Miss Universe Manila Alexandra Abdon. Eventually, they were able to settle their rift.
She also ventured into pageantry. In fact, she won as first-runner up during Binibining Pilipinas 2022, bagging seven special awards. She’s currently gearing up after being appointed as Miss Planet Philippines 2022.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso TV host-comedienne is making the rounds online after complaining on Raffy Tulfo’s show about her former manager allegedly “pocketing” her talent fee.
Budol personally went to the senator’s Wanted sa Radyo Program and claimed that her ex-manager Elizabeth “Elize” Estrada pocketed her talent fee of approximately 1 million pesos.
“Wala kaming kontrata po. Kaibigan ko po siya, nagpatulong ako sa kanya na rumaket during pandemic kasi walang-wala na po akong trabaho. Sa kanya po ako lumapit,” she said.
The beauty queen also shared that there was a time her former talent manager would ask 30% commission from her talent fee in a TV guesting.
Atty. Garreth Tungol, the resident legal counsel of the public service program of Tulfo mentioned that Herlene Budol may file qualified theft or estafa against her former manager.
