Also known as Ka Tunying, Anthony Taberna is a broadcast journalist and radio commentator.

His career started as a part-time news writer in 1992 at DZEC, which was owned by Eagle Broadcasting Corporation.

In 1997, he transferred to DZMM, an AM radio station owned by ABS-CBN, where he became a Radyo Patrol reporter.

He was also one of the hosts of Umagang Kay Ganda (where he gained popularity in the segment “Punto por Punto”).

As a radio anchor, Taberna is one of the lead anchors for Dos por Dos, a daily late afternoon show, alongside Gerry Baja.

In the past few weeks, some Kakampinks have been calling on to boycott his restaurant.

This was after his allegiance to actress-television host Toni Gonzaga, who was canceled by Kakampinks as well.

However, prior to the recent boycott calls, there were calls to boycott his businesses.

On Facebook, Anthony Taberna slammed the Kakampinks calling on to boycott his resto telling them that not only the supporters of former Vice President Leni Robredo have the purchasing power.

According to the journalist, the boycott of Kakampinks might help his business.

“Sa maikling salita, natutulungan yo pa yung inaaway nyo……. Ayaw nyo bang alisin ang pait sa puso nyo?” he stressed.

In the last part of his message, he invited the Kakampinks to visit his restaurant and assured them that they will be accommodated well.
