Reaction of Cristy Fermin on “parinig” of Vice Ganda to Zephanie Dimaranan
ZEPHANIE DIMARANAN – The first winner of Idol Philippines was defended by Cristy Fermin against the “parinig” of Vice Ganda.
It was on September 18 when Idol PH Season held its grand finals.
A scene from the final showdown went viral with the names of Vice and Zephanie becoming the top trending topic on Twitter.
Some viewers believed that Vice was throwing shade at Zephanie when he appeared on the grand finals of the ABS-CBN singing search.
The Phenomenal Box-office Star had a production number in the said program for being a former judge and also went on the show to promote the second season of his game show “Everybody Sing.”
After his performance, Robi asked Vice for a message about the new “Idol Philippines” grand winner.
The comedian said: “Sa bagong hihiranging grand Idol winner, sana maraming magbukas na opportunities sa ‘yo.”
At that moment, Vice Ganda paused and said: “Sana mag-stay ka muna dito sa network na ‘to.”
Vice Ganda did not mention the name of Zephanie in his message but the netizens and televiewers are sure that he was referring to the singer.
In the Tuesday episode of “Cristy Ferminute”, Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika discussed Vice Ganda’s parinig.
Fermin then went on to defend Dimaranan.
“Magpakatotoo tayo. Nasasabi ‘yan ni Vice Ganda dahil milyonaryo siya, marami siyang pera. Pero para sa isang batang gaya ni Zephanie na siya ang talagang tumatayong breadwinner ng kanyang pamilya at itong bata ay nangangarap, nagsisikap.” Cristy said.
Cristy also spoke out about rumors that ABS-CBN did not renew Zephanie’s contract.
“E merong magandang trabaho sa GMA 7, sa Kapuso, ba’t naman hindi ‘yon tatanggapin ni Zephanie e wala nga siyang ginagawa dito sa wala na ngang prangkisa? Hindi pa ni-renew,” she said.
Meanwhile, Zephanie Dimaranan, who’s now a Kapuso star, became the grand champion of Idol Philippines Season 1 in 2009.
Zephanie stayed as a Kapamilya for three years after winning Idol PH. Now, she’s a contract artist of Sparkle of GMA and regularly appears on “All-Out Sundays.”
