Dominic Ochoa speaks about his first GMA-7 series
DOMINIC OCHOA – The Kapamilya actor revealed that he asked permission from ABS-CBN before joining a GMA-7 series.
It was in the year 1997 when the showbiz career of Dominic Ochoa started via the ABS-CBN defunct youth-oriented show, Gimik.
He last appeared on the Kapamilya Network through the series 2 Good 2 Be True and had a guest appearance on Darna.
In his 25 years in the industry, this could be the first time he will appear in a GMA-7 series.
The series is titled, Abot Kamay Na Pangarap. It is directed by L.A. Madridejos and is airing from Monday to Saturday at 2:30 p.m. right after Eat Bulaga on GMA Afternoon Prime.
In the series, Dominic portrays the role of Michael, who has a love interest in the character of Carmina Villarroel.
According to him, he guested on GMA shows before.
“I first guested sa TGIS in 1996, if I’m not mistaken,” he said.
Aside from that, he guested on the show there along with Mylene Dizon. It was directed by late director Soxy Topacio.
“But other than that, ito yung pagbubukas ng pintuan ulit,” he added.
Now that he has returned to the Kapuso network, he’s thankful for the warm welcome of her colleagues.
According to him, he asked permission from his home network, ABS-CBN, before doing the GMA-7 series.
“Kasi if there’s something naman na nakalinya or may naka-lineup sa atin, pupuwede ko namang hintayin. But they approved of itong pag-guest natin sa GMA,” he said.
