A Family Affair – The top-rating Kapamilya series elicited comments due to its latest trailer about “lies” and “unity.”
A Family Affair is a drama romance series starring Ivana Alawi as Cherry Red Magwayen, Gerald Anderson as Francisco Paco Estrella, Sam Milby as Dave Estrella, Jameson Blake as Andrew “Drew” Estrella and Jake Ejercito as Sebastian “Seb” Estrella.
The series revolves around Cherry Red (Ivana), a beautiful woman who gets adopted by the Estrellas. During her stay in the mansion, she forms unique relationships with the Estrella brothers, particularly with Dave (Sam), her first love, and Paco (Gerald), her fiancé.
It airs on A2Z, TV5, and worldwide via The Filipino Channel. It is directed by Jerome Pobocan and Raymund Ocampo.
The series is currently making rounds online following its latest trailer as it premiered on TV5.
In the said trailer, the series features the lines: “the family lies together, stays together” and “dapat sa atin nagkakaisa, unity sa pagsisinungaling.”
Netizens noticed that the said lines in the trailer seem to be hitting someone, which is why some of them gave a warning.
“Unity sa PAGSISINUNGALING! Ingat lang po, may natatamaan sa labas…” said a certain Christopher Angelitud according to dailybncnews.com.
“The family that lies together stays together. Unity sa pagsisinungaling. Shade!” said another netizen.
“Tama ba yung dinig ko sa isang linya sa trailer ng A Family Affair teleserye na: ‘…unity sa pagsisinungaling’? Bato, bato sa langit ang tamaan wag magalit!” commented one of the followers of the program.
