Here’s the message of Ogie Diaz to Marcoleta over the ABS-CBN and TV5 ‘merger’
OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager-vlogger gave a message to SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta amid his plan to investigate the merger between ABS-CBN and TV5.
Marcoleta is one of the vocal opponents of ABS-CBN and is among the 70 representatives who voted to permanently deny the franchise renewal of the Kapamilya Network.
In a statement, Ogie urged Marcoleta to “move on” and should not hinder the incoming partnership between the giant networks.
According to him, Marcoleta should think that many will be given a job in the “merger” between ABS-CBN and TV5.
“Juice ko po, sir. Sumunod naman, pero ayaw nyong tanggapin. Ngayong
bumili ng shares, me kuda pa din kayo,” he said.
“Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan ng pera ng gobyerno. Ikaw ba sa-sagip ng bansa, ng mawawalan ng trabaho? O ikamamatay mo pag nangyari yung ayaw mo? Move on kana po,” he added.

It was on Thursday, August 11, when ABS-CBN revealed that it was set to acquire 6.46 million new primary common shares of TV5 for P2.16 billion, representing 34.99 percent of the total voting and outstanding capital stock of TV5.
On the other hand, the Kapatid Network will have the remaining controlling shareholder of 64.79 percent after the completion of the transaction.
But it seems that Marcoleta won’t allow the merger to push through.
He even tagged the landmark deal between the country’s largest networks ABS-CBN and TV5 a “monopoly”.
Marcoleta has yet to issue any statement with regards to the remark of Ogie Diaz.
