Miel Pangilinan shared a message for her father on his 59th birthday.
MIEL PANGILINAN — Former senator Kiko Pangilinan‘s daughter recently took to social media to share a message for him on his 59th birthday.
Miel is currently on a vacation abroad with her parents.
Her mother, “Megastar” Sharon Cuneta, took to social media to share how she and her family celebrated the 59th birthday of her husband outside the Philippines.
The 17-year-old artist dedicated a social media post for her father last August 24 in honor of his 59th birthday. She wrote about how much she appreciated all the effort and time her father gave her all those years.
According to her, her first vivid memory is of her father telling her that she’s a Virgo just like him and he told her nearly a decade and a half later that he said it so she would know that they have something in common. She added that it was that day that she really fully realized just the kind of parent her father is.

Miel also said that her father is always the only dad in her batch parent group chats, always dropping them off at school on their first days, always taking them to go grocery shopping every Sunday, and always making time out of his schedule to come and watch them perform something that he could have very well just asked for a video of.
“Being a Virgo myself, I’m sure you understand that expressing my emotions like this is kind of difficult for me, but I hope you understand just how thankful I am to have you as my father. You’ve played out such a big parental role in our lives, taking the role of mother too, sometimes, and now it’s our turn to start taking care of you, okay?” she wrote. “My siblings and I love you more than words can express. I’ll give you many big hugs today.”
To recall, Miel came out as a member of the LGBTQ community during Pride month this year and also received the full support from her family, especially her parents who have always been vocal of their unconditional love for her.
She is set to celebrate her 18th birthday next month, but she recently uploaded her pre-debut photos with a Pantone-inspired theme earlier this month.
