It was just in June this year when Sanvicente made headlines after he was caught in a dashcam ramming a security guard named Christian Floralde at the intersection of Julia Vargas and St. Francis Street in Mandaluyong.

On June 15, Jose Antonio Sanvicente surrendered to the authorities and apologized for ramming the security guard

Sanvicente was accompanied by his parents and lawyer when he appeared before a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City, together with LtGen. Vicente Danao, who was the PNP OIC at the time.

There were even reports that the Sanvicentes have a connection with the Philippine National Police but PNP denied that Danao and the Sanvicente family have any connection. According to the police force, the press conference was the first time the PNP OIC and Sanvicentes meet.

On June 23, in a hearing before the Mandaluyong Prosecutors’ Office, the SUV driver insisted that the incident that landed the victim in the hospital for several days was a mere “accident.”

Meanwhile, LTO on Thursday, August 25, permanently revoked the license of Sanvicente.

LTO found the hit-and-run suspect guilty of reckless driving and duty of driver in case of accident.

According to LTO via GMA News, Sanvicente is “perpetually disqualified” from getting another driver’s license and driving a motor vehicle.

The non-professional driver’s license of Sanvicente is now in possession of Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) in LTO.

Earlier, the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office recommended the indictment of Jose Antonio Sanvicente for frustrated homicide.
