Salary rate of a branch of Jollibee in the US
JOLLIBEE – The salary rate of a branch of the Philippines-based fast food restaurant in the US earned mixed reactions from the netizens.
Jollibee is a Filipino chain of fast food restaurants owned by Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC).
It started as a Magnolia ice cream parlor in Cubao, Quezon City in 1975 by Tony Tan Caktiong and his family.
The outlet later began offering hot meals and sandwiches. Eventually, the family decided to convert the ice cream parlor into a fast food restaurant.
It was the first outlet of Jollibee and was opened in 1978. Then, they decided to name their establishment, “Jollibee” which was initially named “Jolibe”.
As of December 2021, JFC had a total of about 1,500 Jollibee outlets worldwide, with restaurants in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, East Asia (Hong Kong, Macau), North America, and Europe (Spain, Italy, UK).
Recently, a netizen named Jeffrey Lopez Perez went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he shared that a Jollibee branch located in E. Plaza Blvd. National City, California is looking for more employees.
Based on the post, those who will get hired will earn $16 per hour.
He also made a conversion of the salary from per day to per month.

But some netizens argue that in the US, the cost of living is high compared to the Philippines that’s why the salary rate is just enough as they say.
