MELISSA RICKS — The former actress recently took to social media to announce that she’s pregnant with her 2nd child.
Melissa rose to fame after her debut in “Star Circle Quest” in 2004, where she finished in the Top 5 alongside Hero Angeles and Sandara Park. The former actress was also known for her role in Kapamilya series “Walang Hanggan”, “Honesto”, and “Nasaan Ka Elisa?”.
On Thursday, Melissa confirmed that she’s expecting her 2nd child — her first with her non-showbiz husband, Michael Macatangay — by sharing the exciting news in a video clip on Instagram showing her visit to the OBGYN clinic wherein she had an ultrasound.
Melissa was accompanied by Macatangay, with whom she’s expecting her child. Also tagged in her social media post was her daughter Kiera, whom she shared with her former partner Charles Togezaki.
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen,” Melissa quoted from the Bible in the caption of her social media post.
The new addition to Melissa’s family is her first child with Michael, while her seven-year-old Kiera is Melissa’s child with her ex-boyfriend Charles Togezaki.

She also shared a photo of herself with a baby bump and also posted photos with her partner. In the caption, she asked her followers to guess the gender of her 2nd child.
Among those who congratulated her on the new milestone were Jessy Mendiola, Mariel Rodriguez, Crisha Uy, Dianne Medina, Lara Quigaman, Hero Angeles, and Joross Gamboa.
Melissa and Michael got engaged in August 2020 and got married in California on May last year, amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
