SONA is an annual address by the president of the Philippines to a joint session of the Congress of the Philippines.

The speech is delivered every fourth Monday of July at the Plenary Session Hall of the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

It serves as a means to inform the nation about its present economic, political, and social condition.

The first SONA of PBBM started today at exactly 4 PM.

More or less 1300 persons attended the first state of the nation address of the newest president of the Republic of the Philippines.

Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (GMA) skipped PBBM’s first SONA after contracting COVID-19.

On the other hand, more than 20,000 troops have been deployed to maintain peace and order throughout.

A group from Ilocos was assigned to sing the national anthem.

It is directed by Paul Soriano, the husband of Toni Gonzaga, who served as director of campaign ads for his “ninong” Bongbong Marcos.

PBBM is laying down his plans for the next 12 months as the president in his first State of the Nation Address.
