Netizens Praise Service Crew For Feeding Stroke Survivor Customer at Fast-Food Chain

A male service crew of a popular fast-food chain in the country earned praises online for helping a stroke survivor customer.

The heartwarming video footage of a fast-food crew feeding an old man at a popular fast-food chain in Bagong Silang, Quezon City goes viral and garnered praises from the online community.

A 19-year-old Jollibee crew identified as Jofel Cheng did not hesitate to assist a male customer to eat his meal. The PWD customer named Tatay Richard is a stroke survivor and could not properly eat his meal because of his condition.

Cheng said that the elderly man finds it difficult to move and do several things because of his current physical state. “Na-stroke na po kasi si Sir Richard kaya hindi na po talaga makapagsalita and hindi na niya po magalaw ‘yung kamay niya,” Jofel said.

According to the Jollibee employee, Tatay Richard is a regular customer in their branch. The latter uses his earnings from begging to buy a meal from the fast-food chain.

“Nagmamalimos din po si Sir Richard ng pagkain dito, parang ipon po ‘ata niya kasi po ‘pag pinapakuha niya po ‘yung bayad niya sa bag niya, laging barya [na] tag-bente lang po,” Cheng added.

The kind-hearted crew explained that it became a part of their routine that whoever is on duty every time tatay Richard dines in, to assist him.
