Malou Tiquia on Robredo’s message to Erwin Tulfo: “This has never happened when a FORMER VP speaks on ON THE DAY of a crisis”
MALOU TIQUIA – The veteran political strategist and CEO of PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. was not happy with the message made by former Vice President Leni Robredo to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Erwin Tulfo about relief efforts on Abra earthquake.
It was on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at exactly 08:43:24 am when a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Tayum, Abra.
The strong quake resulted in damage to properties.
As of posting, five people have been confirmed dead with numerous injured.
Among those who rushed to the severely affected areas after the quake is no less than Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo.
Then, Robredo went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she thanked Erwin Tulfo for his quick action toward the victims of the strong earthquake that hit Luzon.
But according to Tiquia, Robredo does not seem to show respect to the current administration with the statement she relayed to Tulfo.
The political strategist added this is the first time a former official speaks on the day of a crisis.
According to her, former government officials often prefer to remain silent as a show of respect for the current administration.
Several netizens cited for example former President Rodrigo Duterte who does not comment on issues since he stepped down from office.
Meanwhile, Abra, which is the epicenter of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake is still experiencing multiple aftershocks.
