DSWD Exec Says Lists Of Removed, New 4Ps Beneficiaries Seen By “September or October”

DSWD Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez: “Humihingi lang po ng konting panahon si Secretary Tulfo at mga kawani ng DSWD para magawa natin nang tama itong proseso na ito.”

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT — DSWD Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez said on Thursday that the lists of removed and new beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) may be released by “September or October” 2022.

Lopez explained in an interview on “Unang Balita” that those 4Ps beneficiaries who will be delisted from the social assistance program are the following:

  • beneficiaries who waived their membership
  • beneficiaries who no longer have children below 18 years old or are studying
  • beneficiaries who have reached the social assistance program’s seven-year duration
  • beneficiaries who are earning PHP 12,000 and above per month
  • beneficiaries who are non-compliant or have violated the 4Ps conditions

Currently, the Department of Social Welfare and Development is validating the list of 1.3 million 4Ps beneficiaries who are now tagged as “non poor” and are no longer qualified to receive the government’s cash assistance.

GMA News Online reported that the vacated slots for the conditional cash transfer program will be given to new 4Ps beneficiaries or applicants on the waiting list.

In addition, Lopez said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development is not rushing the removal of 1.3 million 4Ps beneficiaries as it will take about 6 months to a year for their delistment to be completely processed.

Ang sinasabi ni Secretary Erwin Tulfo, ang maximum nito ay hanggang September or October, kasi nga po gusto nating masiguro, ito ay mandato rin ng ating Pangulo, na linisin ang listahan at ilagay ‘yung mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo para sa 4Ps,” Lopez said in an interview on “Unang Balita”.
