Lady Netizen Expresses Pity Towards Poor Grandma Begging for Money to Finance Medication
A lady netizen has expressed her sympathy towards an 85-year-old grandma who begs for money despite her old age.
A Facebook user named Hyacinth Tingson Lamela Bautista has shared her encounter with an elderly woman who still begs for money despite her old age. The post is currently circulating online.
Bautista narrated that she saw a senior citizen sitting beside her without a face mask. She gives her extra mask to the grandma. The elderly lady doesn’t have enough cash to pay the fare from Manapla to Bacolod.
The grandma paid P25 instead of P75 fare on the bus. The elderly lady explained that she don’t have enough money to pay the fare to reach Libertad Market in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The senior citizen explained that she will make ‘Limos’ at Libertad Market to earn money to buy medicine for her heart. The poor lola is already a widow and her son had a family already.
Hyacinth posted her heartbreaking encounter with the elderly woman to encourage the public to save money as preparation before getting old. She also realized that no one can help you except for yourself once you get old.

“This Day early in the morning while traveling going to work there’s an old Woman who sat beside me asking for a piece of mask and fortunately i have one so i gave it to her. The fare from manapla to bacolod is 75 consider that shes a senior so there’s still a discount but i saw the fare she gave and it 25 pesos only. Suddenly, she said that thats the only money she left so i am asking her why shes going to bacolod considering tht she has no money left and she answered me that shes bound to libertad market and i ask her why there, she said that shes going there because thats the only place she knows where to make “LIMOS”. it Saddened me because i am not able to help her, my heart aches seing a 85 yrs old Lola ga pang limos because no one could help her provide for her medicine for her heart. Her husband die and she has 1 son who already had a family.
This scene earlier help me reflect the life that i have right now, i am still fortunate that i could eat 3x a day while other dont. This scene help me understand that if you cant withstand to the wheel of change how much more when you get old?
Why i post this? Because while you still in your strenght do the things that could help you for the preparation when you getting old. No one could provide for yourself.
For the youth, never give up and dont lost hope because God always hear our prayer, just stay still. ”
