Robinhood Ferdinand Cariño Padilla is an actor, politician, screenwriter, producer, and director.

He is known as the “Bad Boy” of Philippine cinema for portraying anti-hero protagonist gangster roles in films such as Anak ni Baby Ama, Grease Gun Gang, Bad Boy, and Bad Boy 2.

He has also been dubbed the “Prince of Action” of Philippine cinema.

Padilla is also active in television programs, having played lead roles in Basta’t Kasama Kita, Asian Treasures, Joaquin Bordado, Totoy Bato, Guns and Roses, and Toda Max.

Robin, a neophyte, led the previous senatorial election with over 26 million votes.

Meanwhile, Doris Bigornia still finds it mysterious how actor Robin Padilla won the senatorial race last month.

The results of the senatorial election were among the topics Doris and former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV discussed in an interview.

“Ang nag number one ay si Robin Padilla, masasabi niyo ba senador [Trillanes] na ang mga botante ay ganun parin, hindi nagbabago, na hindi parin talaga umabot sa maturity level ang mga botante kasi kung sino ‘yung kilala nila, pamilyar sila kasi napapanood nila sa TV o nakikita nila sa pelikula eh ‘yun ang kanilang ibinoto,” tanong ni Bigornia.

Trillanes replied that Padilla’s popularity really contributed to his victory.

To recall, the actor-turned-politician said that being an actor was not the reason why people voted for him but because of his advocacy to change the constitution.
