Baby Girl Dies After Accidentally Run Over by Pickup
A one-year-old kid passed away after she runs away from her mother to cross the road and accidentally run over by a pickup vehicle.

Young children are prone to accidents for having not enough knowledge regarding the traffic rules and regulations. Parents should strictly watch their kid’s actions, especially in public places.
A one-year-old girl in Waling-waling St., Brgy. Zone 4, Koronadal City immediately died after she was hit by a pickup vehicle along the street. The baby girl suffered serious wounds and injuries, which leads to her untimely death.
The toddler suddenly run away from her mom who was buying flowers at a flower shop. The kid runs into the road but she falls to the ground. The girl has been accidentally hit and run over by a Strada Pickup.
The witnesses expressed their shock and fear after they have witnessed such an incident. The driver also felt fear and guilt due to what happened. The victim has been rushed to the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital but she was declared dead on arrival.
The driver has been identified as 51-year-old Melvin Apenton, a resident of Barangay San Jose, Koronadal City. Apenton is currently detained under the custody of the police authorities.
The police authorities will continue to investigate the incident.
