Valera, whose real name is Reynaldo Valera Guardiano is a singer, songwriter, music director, film scorer and television host.

He wrote and produced songs that were recorded by various singers such as Sharon Cuneta and Rico J. Puno.

His recording career started in 1977 after becoming a band member of a group called Electric Hair Band for seven years.

The singer is currently gearing up for his upcoming concert series in the US titled Four Kings and A Queen along with Hajji Alejandro, Nonoy Zuñiga, Marco Sison, and Pops Fernandez.

During the press conference of their upcoming concert, Rey Valera couldn’t help but vent his resentment when he recounted the anger he felt toward a concert producer.

Apparently, he did not mention the name of the concert producer nor disclose the root cause of their dispute.

“Mahirap magtiwala kung kani-kanino at minsan, kakilala mo na at matagal mo nang kasama,” he said.

“Hindi budol ang salita, e. Nakakaramdam ka pa rin ng lamangan, something like that,” he added.

According to him, the concert producer whom he had a conflict with is far from Pia Amore Legaspi of Amore Entertainment, the producer of Four Kings and A Queen concert.

Pia is also the producer of successful concerts of Bamboo and Arnel Pineda (First Light), Lani Misalucha and Nonoy Zuñiga (Timeless Seasons), and My 40 Years, the 40th-anniversary show of Sharon Cuneta at the Alex Theater in Glendale, California.
