Manny Pacquiao’s Trainer Buboy Fernandez KO in Vice Mayoralty Race

BUBOY FERNANDEZ- The trainer of presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao has been defeated in the vice mayoralty race.

Fernandez ran for vice mayor in Polangui, Albay, hoping to secure the said position for the second time around.

However, he failed to covet the spot after losing to Chery Mella-Sampal who received 17,106 votes followed by Winels Buendia who earned 15,877 votes.

On the other hand, Fernandez garnered only 15,188 votes.

Before he was elected as vice mayor in 2019, Fernandez served as councilor of Polangui.

Apparently, Buboy Fernandez is sharing the same fate with his friend Manny Pacquiao in this year’s election.

Pacquiao, who ran for president together with his running mate Buhay party-list Representative Lito Atienza, is facing defeat against presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

As of posting, Pacquiao only earned 3,629,241 votes.

Meanwhile, Marcos Jr. is still leading the presidential race with 31,078,160 votes.

While leading the vice presidential race is no other than Sara Duterte with 31,531,257 votes.

On the other hand, Robin Padilla is still leading the senatorial race with 26,425,264 votes followed by Loren Legarda with 23,970,161 votes, Raffy Tulfo with 23,147,240 votes, Win Gatchalian with 20,359,977 votes, Chiz Escudero with 20,032,083 votes, Mark Villar with 19,190,855 votes, Alan Peter Cayetano with 19,064,661 votes, Migz Zubiri with 18,564,909 votes, Joel Villanueva with 18,286,914 votes, JV Ejercito with 15,678,139 votes, Risa Hontiveros with 15,260,002 votes and Jinggoy Estrada with 14,956,384 votes.

Pacquiao has yet to issue any statement about Fernandez but he has already conceded defeat.
