Here’s the message of Julia Barretto to Joshua Garcia
JULIA BARRETTO – The actress revealed that she told her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia to enjoy his career and not engage in a relationship.
Julia rose to prominence after being cast in ABS-CBN’s Kokey, where she played the lead role of Anna Calugdan.
She also starred in other TV series such as Mirabella.
In 2020, she left Star Magic to sign a contract with Viva Artist Agency.
On the other hand, Joshua rose to fame when he became part of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: All In as a contestant.
Before joining PBB, he used to be a member of the Batangas cultural dance group, the Sining Kumintang.
After his PBB stint, he ventured into acting. His critically acclaimed performances in the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival top-grosser Vince and Kath and James and in the primetime series The Good Son skyrocketed his career.
He also starred in various TV series such as Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita, The Greatest Love, Ngayon at Kailanman, and The Killer Bride as well as movies like Love You to the Stars and Back, Unexpectedly Yours, I Love You, Hater, and Block Z.
The two became in a relationship for years but during the summer of 2019, they got broke up.
Despite their controversial breakup, the two still have communication with each other.
Julia Barretto revealed it in an interview with Boy Abunda that aired on YouTube, on May 18.
According to her, she told him to focus on his career and not to engage in relationships in the meantime.
“I tell him, ‘How are you? May girlfriend ka na ba? Huwag ka munang maggi-girlfriend,” she said.
“Sabi niya sa akin, ‘Ba’t ba ayaw mo ako magka-girlfriend?’ Sabi ko, ‘Basta, huwag ka muna magka-girlfriend. Enjoy what you have now,” she added.
