Known as “Hipon Girl”, Herlene rose to fame when she joined Wowowin’s segment called Willie of Fortune.

Willie Revillame, later on, decided to make her a regular host of his show because of her talent and funny jokes.

Aside from hosting, she also ventured into acting.

In 2020, she made headlines following her exchange of words with Miss Universe Manila Alexandra Abdon. Eventually, they were able to settle their rift.

It can be recalled that after her interview with Toni Gonzaga via her YouTube show, ToniTalks, many were touched by her story and pledged support to her. She even had a shopping spree with Alex.

She also ventured into vlogging and has over 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube.

Currently, she’s gearing up as she vies for Binibining Pilipinas 2022 crown.

But the internet sensation-turned-aspiring beauty queen earned a massive criticism because of her now-deleted “kasabihan.”

Recently, she went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she posted a “kasabihan.”

“Ang mga babae, maganda man o hindi nirerespeto yan! Ako nga pala si Binibini #8 – Nicole Budol a.k.a. Herlene Hipon at naniniwala sa kasabihan ‘Aanhin mo pa ang babaeng sexy at maganda kung halos lahat ng lalake nag planking na sa kanya’ And i….Hipon!!” she wrote as the caption on her post.

Her post immediately spread like a wildfire prompting her to apologize.

But before taking down the said post, she has already earned the ire of some netizens.

“Hindi ginagawang joke ang pang dedegrade sa mga babae beh,” a netizen said according to Bandera.

“Palabiro amp. sumali sa binibining tapos mga kasabihan pangkanto lang,” another netizen commented.
