Baysa was one of the 8,241 out of 11,402 takers who passed the said examination.

He’s the son of Renato Meniado Baysa, a single father from Solana, Cagayan and a former TNT (tago nang tago) overseas Filpino worker in Japan.

TNT stands for the Filipino phrase “tago nang tago” which means “always hiding”, describing an undocumented immigrant.

When he returned to the Philippines, he was able to buy a jeepney, which he use as a source of income and at the same time to be able to send his three children to school.

His story was first shared on Facebook via Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Cagayan.

According to the report of PIA – Cagayan, even before the exam results came out, Renato climbed a tree and hung the tarpaulin announcing that his son had passed the bar.

Renato’s strong faith paid off because Lynk Juren eventually passed.

Renato said that the tarpaulin was laid out and printed before the exam result came.

On the tarpaulin, Lynk Juren’s graduation photo is printed.

It was accompanied by the caption: “Congratulations From: Daddy. The single parent who sacrificed everything for your good. I am proud of you.”

Lynk Juren is a political science graduate who pursued law.

Meanwhile, Renato’s other child is scheduled to take a bar exam next year.

  1. The expectations and belief of a Father knows no bounds. Kudos to him and his son. But does it really matter to point out the word ” a single parent who sacrificed everything to his son” seems like grand-standing. Many parent’s sacrifices everthing for their children but they never flount it. It takes away the glitter of his son’s achievement.
