KATRINA VELARDE – The singer admitted in a social media post that she lost more than 1000 followers after sharing that she will perform at the grand rally of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in Cebu.

Cancel culture is the practice or tendency of engaging in mass canceling as a way of expressing disapproval and exerting social pressure.

Among those who have experienced being canceled because of their support for their presidential bet are renowned celebrities such as Toni Gonzaga, and Andrew E. who are rooting for BBM.

Aside from them, also canceled by her followers is no other than singer Katrina Velarde.

In an interview, she revealed that she lost a thousand of followers ahead of her performance at the grand rally of the UniTeam in Cebu City.

“I already lost 1000 followers. But i am not taking it personally. Still, i respect you. And i appreciate those who respect me too [heart emoji] Thank you. Spread love,” she said.

Her post became viral and thousands of UniTeam supporters decided to follow her on social media.

There were also bloggers who called the netizens to follow her on social media.

Her Facebook account had already reached more than 800,000 followers as of press time.

Meanwhile, Bongbong Marcos or BBM will run for president in the coming elections together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
