Here’s the reaction of Sara Duterte to the shooting incident involving Ka Leody and his group
SARA DUTERTE – The vice-presidential candidate condemned the shooting involving the group of presidential aspirant Leody “Ka Leody” de Guzman.
Ka Leody runs for president in the coming elections together with his running mate, Former Akbayan congressman Walden Bello.
They will go against the tandem of; former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Previously, Ka Leody and Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) senatorial bets Roy Cabonegro and David D’Angelo went to Barangay Butong in Quezon, Bukidnon to amplify the land grab complaint of the Manobo-Pulangiyon tribe.
Apparently, a group of 50 men fired shots at the presidential candidate’s group and the Lumad farmers where five people were hurt including farmers’ group organizer Nanie Abela, who was right beside Ka Leody when the attack happened.
Meanwhile, presidential daughter Sara Duterte condemned the said shooting against Ka Leody and his group.
According to the Davao City mayor, all election-related violence should be investigated by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) along with other allegations of fraud.
“We condemn that. We already wrote the Comelec a general letter that if there is any allegation or incident, dapat lahat yun buksan nila with an official inquiry,” she said.
