Did you know Panelo is a Sharonian?
SALVADOR PANELO – The former presidential spokesman-turned-senatorial aspirant claimed that he is a Sharonian or fan of Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Panelo and Cuneta made a buzz online after the politician was criticized by the singer for singing her single, “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas” in a campaign trail.
But in a statement, Panelo said that he’s singing the song as a tribute to his late son named Carlo who had Down Syndrome.
Cuneta deleted her criticism against Panelo after receiving negative comments from the netizens.
This time, Panelo claimed that he is indeed a Sharonian or a fan of the Megastar.
Panelo announced this as he shared an article of PEP.ph which he captioned: “Sharonian kasi ako.”
Meanwhile, his camp revealed earlier that he will be having a new album under Viva Records and today, March 17, he will start the recording of his own version of “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas” which will become available in music streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify.
Punch Liwanag, the advertising and promotions manager of Viva Records said that they are aware of the new recording of Panelo.
“We are unaware of any new recording Secretary Sal has with Viva Records. Secretary Sal only has one song recorded and released last year,” Liwanag said.
Liwanag is referring to the original composition of Panelo, “You Are The Love of My Life.”
Panelo is the producer of the said song which was distributed by Viva Records and released in August 2021.
The music video of Panelo’s original song is available on the YouTube channel of Viva Records.
