Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Speaks on Rumored “Foreign Consultant” of Presidential Bet
MAYOR ISKO MORENO – The Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer and incumbent Manila Mayor denied having a foreign consultant.
The next national election is only a few months away from now and the campaign period is currently ongoing. Most candidates have busy schedules in the pursuit to reach as many Filipinos as they can to campaign.
The grand rallies amid the campaign period are the opportunities for the candidates to lay their platforms and visions for the country and to convince the people to give them a chance to become leaders of the nation.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said that there are 10 candidates on the official ballot for the May 2022 Presidential Election. One of them is Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Mayor Isko is running under Partido Aksyon Demokratiko. He vowed to help uplift the lives of the Filipinos, continue the “Build Build Build” project, and help the economy recover.
Recently, from Pampanga, Mayor Isko Moreno visited Quirino Province to campaign. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, during his visit to the province, he gave his side on the issue released by his fellow presidential candidate, Senator Manny Pacquiao.
The PROMDI standard-bearer claimed that one of the presidential candidates has a foreign consultant. Based on the report, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno denied that he is the said presidential candidate who has a consultant abroad.
The Manila Mayor jested that he is not good at speaking English. According to him, he cannot afford to get a foreign consultant and a foreigner cannot understand the culture of the Filipinos.
Mayor Isko is ranking 2nd or 3rd in surveys for the presidential race. According to him, if he loses the upcoming election, he will retire from being a politician and would devote his time to his family. He stressed that his family has the biggest sacrifice in his pursuit of public service.
