Sen. Manny Pacquiao Speaks on Oil Price Hike in PH

MANNY PACQUIAO – The PROMDI standard-bearer revealed his action plan to prevent the increase in the prices of oil in the Philippines.

One of the problems that a lot of Filipinos are currently dealing with now is the increase in the prices of oil. The series of oil price hikes started in January and, according to the authorities in the energy department, it may continue until May or June.

The authorities in the Department of Energy (DOE) explained that the increase in the prices of oil is due to the global demand which is hardly met by the current supply of oil.

Public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers are already complaining that they can hardly bring home a sufficient amount for their families now due to the oil price hikes. The government vowed to give them cash assistance for fuel purchases.
