Sen. Kiko Pangilinan Mentions Calls for “RoSa” Tandem in 2022
KIKO PANGILINAN – The Senator reacted to the calls of some people for a tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
As the election draws near, more and more people and groups are becoming vocal about their support for certain candidates or tandems in the upcoming poll. Both local and national elections will be held on May 9.
The candidates are also on a double-time in the pursuit to reach as many Filipinos as they can before the campaign period is over. The campaign for the national election is happening for over a month now while it was just four days ago when the campaign period for the local election started.
Recently, the tandem of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan visited the province of Northern Samar. They went to Calbayog, Catbalogan, and Catarman.
Based on a report in ABS-CBN News, in one of their campaign sorties in Norther Samar, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan raised the calls pairing Vice Pres. Leni Robredo with another vice presidential candidate. Some supporters of the Vice President previously pledged their support to her and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio which they tagged as the “RoSa” tandem.
“Merong sinisingit. Papayag ba tayo na iyong pinili ni Leni ay ipapalit sa kung sinu-sino?” the Senator said which drew response from the crowd saying, “Hindi!”.
As for Vice Pres. Leni Robredo, she previously reiterated that her vice president is Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. The Leni-Kiko grand rallies in different cities and provinces across the nation including Iloilo, Bacolod, Pasig, and Cavite gathered thousands of people.
Several groups including religious leaders have expressed support for the Leni-Kiko tandem. They push for honest governance that includes everyone. During their grand rally in Northern Samar, the Vice President pledged to push for the stability of their telco connections and power supply and the construction of their circumferential road if she wins president in the upcoming poll. She secured the support of several local government officials in the province.
