Robredo and the presidential daughter are among the top contenders in the presidential and vice-presidential race, respectively.

Earlier, “Leni Sara” trended on the micro-blogging site, Twitter after Eastern Samar governor Ben Evardone endorsed the presidential bid of Robredo.

Evardone is one of the high-ranking officials of PDP-Laban that’s why many thought that President Rodrigo Duterte might support the candidacy of Robredo.

The pairing of Leni and Sara was first pushed by Albay Rep. Joey Salceda and said that it is not bad for the two to win because they are friends.

But some Kakampinks or supporters of VP Robredo will not allow Sara Duterte to become Leni’s vice president because of the mayor’s previous statements against her.

According to him, they prefer Sen. Kiko Pangilinan to win the said post.

“They’re pushing Leni-Sara tandem para masecure ang VP spot kay Sara. No freaking way it would happen. Leni-Kiko all the way po.” ani @amrdrgz.

Some of Duterte’s supporters said that other supporters of Robredo are only using the mayor to get more votes.

“As a Duterte supporter since 2016, I feel validated seeing these Leni supporters scramble for support. First they talked to Pacquiao to withdraw, then to Ping, now they’re pushing for Leni-Sara just to get votes from DDS? Hahahhaha,” wrote @QMotherGothel.

Robredo and Duterte have not yet made a statement on their said pairing.

It will be recalled that some groups in Mindanao also pair Duterte with another presidential candidate, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno.
