Here’s why the motorcade of Isko Moreno in Caloocan did not push through
ISKO MORENO – The supposed motorcade of the Manila Mayor and the presidential candidate in Caloocan did not go through after the local government did not approve their permit.
Moreno will run for the highest government position alongside his running mate Doc Willie Ong.
They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Isko Moreno and his team was supposed to have a motorcade in Caloocan.
But according to Oliver Hernandez, city administrator of Caloocan, the motorcade will pass through some roads under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). This was cited as the reason why they did not give Moreno and his camp a permit.
But Moreno’s campaign manager Lito Banayo has a different view on this matter.
“Tumawag kami sa MMDA. Eh ‘yun pala nasabihan na nila yung MMDA din, ng Caloocan, ng city of administrator na binawi na raw nila ‘yung permit dahil nagkaka-traffic daw. Eh sana naman di na nila binigyan muna,” he said.
Banayo sensed that politics was the reason why Moreno’s motorcade was blocked.
It was on Thursday when Banayo allegedly filed a request to obtain a permit.
