Imee Marcos Reacts To “Marcos Duwag” Hashtag

Imee Marcos said her brother is not a coward

Senator Imee Marcos shared her reaction to the hashtag “Marcos Duwag” due to the decision of her brother presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos not to attend presidential debates and forums/interviews.

BBM refused to be part of the presidential interviews by GMA’s seasoned journalist Jessica Soho. He also skipped the forums conducted by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas and AM radio station DZBB, as well as the presidential debate in CNN Philippines.

Because of this, critics of the former Senator made the #MarcosDuwag trend on social media. On the other hand, Bongbong Marcos joined the interviews by seasoned journalist Korina Sanchez, AM radio station DZRH, and King of Talk Boy Abunda. He also attended that SMNI presidential debate.

In a recent interview, based on the report from Inquirer, Sen. Imee Marcos admitted that she is annoyed by the “Marcos Duwag” hashtag. “My brother is not a coward. And in my opinion, he can easily answer [the debate question]. Yun pa,” she said (in Filipino).

She also said that for her, Bongbong Marcos is sensitive and kind, so he gets hurt by this kind of criticism. The Senator also said that other presidential candidates may gang up against her brother considering the big lead that he has in several surveys.

As we all know, when you take that lead, they might gang up on my brother. So he advised not to [attend],” the lawmaker said.

Meanwhile, Sen. Imee Marcos is getting the attention of the online community because of the videos that she does with Vincentiments that are being written and directed by director Darryl Yap. This venture of the Senator garnered various reactions from the online community. Critics are expected to bash their videos but supporters of their family enjoy each episode.
