Aiko Melendez Shows Support to BBM-Sara Tandem
AIKO MELENDEZ – Actress Aiko Melendez on Tuesday declared her support for former senator Bongbong Marcos and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, in May 2022 national elections.
Aiko Melendez is considered one of the best actresses of her generation. She’s known for her hit films “Sayo Lamang,” “Kahit Kailan,” and “May Minamahal.” On television, she’s best known for her role in Kapamilya’s drama “Wildflower.”
Melendez is not just a successful actress, she is also a politician. She ran and won a seat on the Quezon City Council in 2001. She served for 9 years until 2010.
Aiko Melendez decided to return to public service after 11 years. She’s now running for councilor in Quezon City7’s 5th district.
The 46-year-old celebrity is currently busy touring throughout the district to distribute rice and the COVID-19 essential kit. While most of the celebs are proud kakampink, Aiko bravely announced the candidates she will support in the upcoming May 9 elections.

On her Instagram account, Aiko Melendez mentioned that former senator Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will be her endorsed president and vice president for our country.
The Kapuso actress posted a photo of BBM and Sara on IG with the caption, “Ako po ay isang Artista at naniniwala at sumusuporta ,Sa susunod na Pangulo ng ating Republika ng Pilipinas. At ako din po ay naniniwala sa kakayahan ng kanyang Bise Presidente.”
Aiko said that she will not resort to criticizing and bashing other candidates. She said that it’s already enough for her to express her support for the said politicians. She further stated that it is wrong to criticize people for accusations that have not been proven.
