Here’s the reaction of Aiko Melendez to the so-called Poblacion Girl
AIKO MELENDEZ – The actress took to social media wherein she expressed her dismay at the viral quarantine skipper known as Poblacion Girl.
The COVID-19 pandemic remains to be the biggest challenge that the country is facing today. This disease that started way back in 2019 at Wuhan, China has placed a lot of lives at risk and has even taken the lives of many people.
A Filipina who slip out of the hotel where she’s quarantined, partied in Makati City, and later tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 is making a buzz online.
It was on December 22 when Poblacion Girl returned to the Philippines all the way from Los Angeles, California in the US.
She was later quarantined at Berjaya Hotel but on the 23rd, she went to Barangay Poblacion in Makati City to attend a party.
On December 27, the results of her RTPCR test came and it turned out that she’s positive for the coronavirus.
Two days later, she was taken to the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) facility and underwent swab testing. Her swab specimen is sent to the Philippine Genome Center to determine which coronavirus variant she was infected with.
Meanwhile, actress Aiko Melendez took to the image-sharing platform, Instagram wherein she expressed her ire to the woman dubbed as Poblacion Girl.
In her post, she gave a reminder to the public especially among those who are unmindful about their actions.
As of posting, there are 14 cases of the Omicron variant in the Philippines. It is said to be the most transmissible coronavirus variant, so far, according to experts.
