Is Agot Isidro chiding BBM in her tweet about Ukrainian president?
AGOT ISIDRO – The actress admired the courage shown by Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy who made headlines for refusing to leave his country amid Russia’s invasion.
According to Agot, what is happening in Ukraine is proof that it is important to have a leader who is brave and able to inspire his countrymen to fight.
“What is happening in Ukraine highlights the importance of a strong, fearless, inspiring leader. Standing up to a ruthless dictator,” she said.
At one point, she compared Zelenskyy to a candidate who “coward” candidate who failed to appear in debates.
“Something to think about this coming elections. Kung saan isang kandidato dyan, debate lang naduduwag na,” she said.
Some netizens, on the other hand, tried to guess who the candidate Agot was targeting.
Others have said that Agot may be referring to presidential candidate and former Senator Bongbong Marcos, after being known for not attending the debates.
Agot also earned the criticism of some netizens because of her opinion.
Meanwhile, it was in the early hours of February 24 when Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war against Ukraine via his State of the Nation Address.
In his statement, Putin believes that the leading members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) particularly the US was threatening to take over Russia.
NATO is an alliance of European and North American countries established to promote peace.
Led by the US, NATO- aimed to protect Western European countries from the threat of the Soviet Union and combat the spread of communism after World War II.
