Is it true Toni Gonzaga received 120 million pesos for supporting BBM?
TONI GONZAGA – A columnist refuted rumors that the actress-host received 120 million pesos in exchange for her support to former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Toni has been making a buzz online following her support to BBM.
In fact, she served as the host during the proclamation rally of the presidential aspirant on Tuesday, February 8.
Following her support to BBM, she earned the ire of netizens which might prompt her to step down as the main host of the reality show, Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
But earlier, reports surfaced that Toni received up to 120 million pesos from her hosting and endorsement of BBM.
However, according to veteran entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin, rumors that the actress-host received hundred of millions for supporting BBM were untrue.
Cristy thinks that Toni doesn’t need to get paid for endorsing Marcos Jr. since her husband director Paul Soriano, is a relative of the Marcoses.
“Unang-una si Direk Paul, pamangkin siya ni Atty. Liza Marcos. Ako naman, hindi ko rin pinaniniwalaan ‘yung P120M,” she said.
Toni has not yet made a statement about the said reports.
Meanwhile, BBM is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
