Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Thanks Toni Gonzaga for Hosting Campaign Rally
TONI GONZAGA – The former Pinoy Big Brother host reacted to the message of former Senator Bongbong Marcos for her after the campaign rally.
The BBM-Sara UniTeam held their proclamation rally in the Philippine Arena. It gathered the families, friends, and supporters of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Marcos Jr. is running for president under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) while Duterte-Carpio is the bet of national party Lakas-CMD for vice president in the Election 2022.
The BBM-Sara UniTeam proclamation rally was hosted by Kapamilya TV host Toni Gonzaga. She and her husband, director Paul Soriano, are close to Marcos Jr. During the campaign rally, she called him the next president of the Republic of the Philippines.
However, Toni Gonzaga hosting the BBM-Sara UniTeam proclamation rally did not sit well with a lot of people. Many were disappointed and some of them are his fellow celebrities in the Kapamilya network and the ABS-CBN staff. Many people believed that her move is a hurtful take against her home network.
While there are those who criticized Toni, there are also those who showed support to her amid the criticisms. Her name went trending on social media platforms.
Amid her name going trending for hosting the BBM-Sara proclamation rally, Toni stepped down from being the main host of Pinoy Big Brother. She also unfollowed her celebrity friends on Instagram.
Following the campaign rally, former Sen. Bongbong Marcos expressed his gratitude to Toni Gonzaga for being the host of the UniTeam Proclamation Rally. To this, the actress-TV host responded telling him he’s welcome while addressing him “my president” in an Instagram Story.
As of this writing, there are still not much detail about Toni leaving PBB where she served as the main host for more than a decade. More updates may be posted soon.
