Statement of Star Magic on Diether Ocampo Accident in Makati
STAR MAGIC – The talent manager of Diether Ocampo issued a statement regarding the actor’s condition now following the car accident.
A road accident involving a showbiz celebrity transpired in Makati City yesterday. Actor Diether Ocampo figured in a car crash when his sport utility vehicle (SUV) hit a parked garbage truck.
The accident took place at around 12:40 a.m. along the Osmeña Highway. The actor was the one driving his Ford Explorer when it crashed on the parked garbage truck.
The intensity of the incident is evident in the damaged hood of Diether’s vehicle. The actor obtained injuries on his forehead and foot. He had a visible wound on his head.
On the part of the garbage collectors who were shocked when the actor’s car hit their truck, no one got injured. The team of the Philippine Red Cross helped rescue the actor and bring him to the hospital.
Recently, Diether Ocampo’s talent management, Star Magic, released a statement regarding the actor’s condition now following the car accident in Makati City.
In a statement sent to ABS-CBN News, Star Magic said that Diether Ocampo is “currently recovering in the hospital” following the car accident. The actor’s talent agency expressed its appreciation over the concerns for him and asked for continued prayers for his fast recovery.
Diether Ocampo has laid low in showbiz for quite a few years now. He had his own years of being in the limelight before and being one of the most in-demand leading men under ABS-CBN Network.
Despite his popularity, Diether is private when it comes to his personal life. He is now a lieutenant of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary after undergoing training, seminars, and outreach activities among others. The actor is currently 48 years old.
