Here’s the response of Ping Lacson to Isko Moreno over “anti-corruption czar”
PING LACSON – The presidential candidate gave a response to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno over “anti-corruption czar.”
The May 9, 2022 election is fast approaching.
Among those who vie for the highest position in the government are Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Manny Pacquiao and to name a few.
In an interview last February 16, Isko revealed that one of his plans, if he wins the presidency, is to assign someone as “anti-corruption czar.”
Moreno believes that Lacson has the qualities to take charge of the said post.
“For example, si Sen. Ping Lacson. Isa siyang asset of the country, that I guarantee. May particular skill set siya na kapaki-pakinabang para sugpuin ang suliranin ng ating bansa. Kailangan ko ng qualities ni Sen. Lacson to address corruption and discipline,” he said.
Lacson thanked Moreno for saying this but the senator reminded the mayor that the election is not yet over.
“I like to thank the kind mayor, but I intend to win so paano niya ako i-aappoint kung ako ang mananalo?” he said.
“Thank you kay Mayor, ina-acknowledge niya yung kakayahan natin para ma-address yung corruption, that is enough for me na pasalamatan siya,” he added.
Isko Moreno has yet to issue any response regarding the message of Ping Lacson.
Meanwhile, it was on February 8 when the campaign period kick-off. At the time, candidates held a proclamation rally respectively. The candidates are now busy with their campaigning across the country.
