2 Dogs Barked to Help Residents Noticed Giant Snake Trying to Enter Houses in Pangasinan
MANGALDAN, PANGASINAN – Pangasinan residents successfully captured a giant snake with the help of two dogs in the area.
Nowadays, the sighting of snakes in public places and residential area have been very common to Filipino people. However, most of us fears exotic animals such as serpents because of their venom.
The Philippine government and other environmental groups also urged the public to call or contact the authorities to rescue such species. Some of our countrymen were already killing venomous creatures to prevent it from making harm to people.
A two-meter serpent causes commotion among the residents at a compound in Sitio Saipan, Barangay Anolid in Mangaldan, Pangasinan. The reptile was captured after the residents heard the two dogs barking.
According to a resident named Bianca Mae Giron, the huge serpent was crawling on their wall. The residents in the areas got alarmed due to non-stop baring of two dogs tied at the compound’s neighbor.
“Bale tumatahol po kasi yung aso and then nung tiningnan ng pinsan ko ayun nga po nakita niya na nandiyan yung ahas sa may pader napakalaki,” Giron said.
Giron said that the serpent could not crawl properly due to the nails in the walls. The dogs were also lucky because the snake did not attack them. The residents successfully captured the snake.
The villagers turned over the reptile to the barangay and has been brought to the municipal environment and natural resource office.
“Buti na lang hindi niya kinain yung aso kasi doon siya dumaan sa may pader, kasi di siya makagapang masyado kasi punong puno yan ng pako hindi siya maka-crawl,” Bianca added.
