Here’s the reaction of Lolit Solis on contract expiry of Willie Revillame on GMA-7
LOLIT SOLIS – The showbiz veteran reacted to the non-renewal of the contract of Willie Revillame on GMA-7.
Netizens were shocked and saddened by GMA-7’s announcement that the contract of the television host with the Kapuso network is about to end.
In a statement, GMA said that Willie Revillame who’s also known as Kuya Wil will be leaving GMA. Apparently, the network did not cite the reason.
Along with the announcement with regards to the expiration of his contract is the last airing of his show Wowowin.
“Willie Revillame’s contract with GMA Network is set to end on the 15th of this month. His show ‘Wowowin’ will air until Friday, Feb. 11,” said GMA Network in a statement.
Amid the expiry of his contract, showbiz veteran Lolit Solis took to Instagram wherein she expressed her opinion.
According to her, it’s unfair to say Willie Revillame left the Kapuso Network. She also denied the rumor that GMA-7 did not renew Willie Revillame’s contract because of politics.

Meanwhile, former Senate President Manny Villar recently met with Willie. Also present at the meeting was Manny’s daughter Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar.
Previously, Villar’s company Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS) acquired channel 2, a frequency previously used by ABS-CBN.
Currently, reports are surfacing that there might be a deal between ABS-CBN and AMBS to re-broadcast Kapamilya Network’s programs on channel 2 but it is still not confirmed.
Revillame has not made a statement about his plans once his contract with GMA expired.
