Red-tagging refers to the malicious blacklisting of individuals or organizations critical or not fully supportive of the actions of a sitting government administration in the country.

These individuals and organizations are “tagged” as either communist or terrorist or both, regardless of their actual political beliefs or affiliations.

Among those who have been victimized by red-tagging are some of the well-known celebrities such as Liza Soberano, Catriona Gray, and Angel Locsin.

But Locsin reiterated that she’s not part of any terrorist group.

“To set the record straight, hindi po ako parte ng NPA or any terrorist group. Neither my sister nor my kuya Neri is a part of the NPA or any terrorist group,” she said in a previous statement.

Angel Locsin then appealed to the authorities to stop red-tagging.

Meanwhile, the wife of Neil Arce was red-tagged anew.

Angel Locsin did not mince words following the comment of a netizen who noted on her post: “Mabuhay ang NPA.”

Her husband was the first to comment. She later expressed her thoughts about it.

Meanwhile, Angel Locsin is considered one of the most popular stars in the country.

She started her showbiz career via GMA-7. She came to prominence for her television roles as Alwina in the 2004 fantasy-themed television series Mulawin and as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the Mars Ravelo eponymous comic.

Eventually, she decided to transfer to ABS-CBN
