Yeng Constantino talked about the past she had with Ryan Bang
Singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino revealed that she wrote this song because of what happened between her and It’s Showtime host Ryan Bang.
Last January 28 episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, Yeng was one of the judges in the Tawag ng Tanghalan judges. During the time when she was giving her comment on the performance of a contestant.
She mentioned the past that she and Ryan shared together had garnered teasing from other Showtime hosts. Years ago, Ryan courted Yeng but did not go to a higher level. The singer clarified that she did not turn down the South Korea-born celebrity but he just stopped courting him without telling anything.
In Ryan Bang’s part, he explained that he felt that Yeng Constantino would eventually turn him down because she did not join him on several “gimik” nights when he invited her.
During the January 29 episode of It’s Showtime, comedian-host Vice Ganda addressed the speculations that surfaced online that the song ‘Chinito’ of Yeng was written for Ryan.
The singer-songwriter clarified that, originally, the song was ‘Chinita’ because it was written by Jed Dumawal. However, she liked the song and she said that she wanted to sing it.
After this, Yeng said that there was a song that was somehow based on what happened between her and Ryan. “Pero may isang song na medyo pinaghugutan talaga ng mga pinagdaanan namin. Alam niyo ‘yung song ko na B.A.B.A.Y?” she said.
Yeng sang a part of this song, “Pwede mo naman akong i-text. Pwede ka rin namang tumawag. Pwede mo rin naman ipasabi kay Manong Bogart. Pero bigla kang nawala, para kang bula — ayon, nawala, bigla kang nawala. Sana nagpasabi ka man lang. Hindi ganitong wala akong alam.”
During the same episode, Yeng Constantino thanked Ryan Bang for the memories that they shared together back then. She said that she felt special even for a short period of time.
