Sandro Marcos: “A vote for my father should also be a vote for VP Sara”
SANDRO MARCOS — The eldest son of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. urged his father’s supporters not to ditch Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in the 2022 elections.
Sandro has appealed to supporters of his father to also choose Mayor Sara for vice president in the 2022 elections.
According to Sandro, Mayor Sara was a woman of “integrity, tenacity and above all else honor”. He also thanked Mayor Sara for the faith she has in his father.
“Let this be a clarion call to all of BBM’s supporters, that a vote for my father should also be a vote for VP Sara!” Sandro wrote on Facebook. “Suportahan natin ang Uniteam all the way to victory. Basta mahalin natin ang Pilipinas, sama sama tayo babangon muli!”
Sandro is running for congressman in the first district of Ilocos Norte.
Bongbong’s eldest son rallied support for Mayor Sara after she refused to leave Bongbong for another presidential bet like Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
According to Mayor Sara, it’s important for her to honor her word and she also knew that all have the same dreams for the Philippines.
Some groups reportedly pushed for the “ISSA” or “Isko-Sara” tandem in the 2022 elections but the Davao City mayor committed to supporting the former senator.
They were accused of trying to drive a wedge between Mayor Sara and Bongbong. However, the movement backfired instead of gaining traction as Mayor Sara’s camp said that the proposed “Isko-Sara” tandem was the brainchild of a supposed “political mercenary”.
