IYA VILLANIA – The Kapuso host who’s now pregnant on her fourth child with her husband Drew Arellano, tested positive for COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic remains to be the biggest challenge that the country is facing today. This disease that started way back in 2019 at Wuhan, China has placed a lot of lives at risk and has even taken the lives of many people

A lot of personalities such as celebrities, elites, and even politicians were infected with the coronavirus as well.

Among those who contracted the dreaded virus is no less than 24 Oras showbiz news anchor Iya Villania.

Recently, she went to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she posted a photo of her kids Primo, Leon, and Alana.

In the photo, her only daughter and youngest child can be seen crying.

She also confirmed in the caption of her post that she’s positive of COVID-19

Her post was then flooded with well-wishes from her followers. Among those who commented is her Mars Pa More co-host Camille Prats.

Meanwhile, the country is being threatened with the sudden increase of COVID-19 cases. In fact, there are 33,169 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of Monday, January 10, 2022.

On the other hand, 145 new deaths have been recorded, raising the total number of fatalities to 52,293 while 3,725 additional recoveries have been logged bringing the total of 2,788,711.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Philippines has confirmed 2,998,530 COVID-19 cases. Currently, there are 157,526 active cases.
