Earlier, GMA News and Public Affairs invited the top five presidential aspirants (Leni Robredo, Bongbong Marcos, Manny Pacquiao, Ping Lacson and Isko Moreno) for The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews that will air this Saturday, January 22, at 6:15 p.m., on GMA.

In a sneak-peek of the said interview aired on 24 Oras, Jessica asked the presidential candidates about their positions on important issues of the country as well as their platform.

Jessica didn’t miss the specific controversies thrown at them- human rights violations against Ping, being a traditional politician to Isko, being corrupt to Manny, and porridge (lugaw) to Leni.

Obviously, Marcos Jr. was not present in the interview.

His camp recently issued a statement why the son of former President Ferdinand Marcos did not attend the interview.

According to Marcos’ camp, Jessica Soho was biased.

Meanwhile, Ping Lacson has reacted to the statement of Bongbong’s camp.

Lacson, one of the presidentiables who attended the interview, said that even he was asked difficult questions by the veteran news anchor and broadcast journalist.

“Jessica Soho, biased? I was asked very hostile questions like my role during martial law, why I evaded arrest in 2010, my co-authorship and sponsorship of the Anti-Terror Law, human rights issues and other hard questions,” he said in a Twitter post.

Lacson stressed that Jessica Soho is not biased and is doing only her job.

GMA Network has already released a statement with regards to the claim of BBM’s camp against Jessica Soho.
