Presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao to have brother explain reported support for Sara Duterte’s vice presidential bid
MANNY PACQUIAO – The senator and presidential aspirant have summoned his brother for allegedly supporting vice presidential candidate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
The boxer-turned-politician is gearing up for the highest government position in the upcoming May 9, 2022 elections.
Together with his running mate Buhay party-list Representative Lito Atienza, they will go against the tandem of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and many other tandems.
Pacquiao, among the top presidential aspirants, has summoned his brother to explain personally the truth behind the press release issued by Lakas-CMD claiming that he threw support for Sara Duterte.
Aside from Ruel, Sarangani Governor Steve Solon allegedly expressed his support to the presidential daughter as well.
According to the senator, his brother did not consult him about his decision to support Duterte, and because of this, he needs to explain himself.
“Bilang pamilya at bilang magkapatid ay kailangan naming magkaisa upang matiyak na tuloy-tuloy ang labang Pacquiao-Atienza,” he said.
Pacquiao further said that he fully supports Atienza as his vice presidential bet.
To recall, it was on Monday, January 24 when Lakas-CMD said Ruel and Sara met in Davao City.
