KRIS LAWRENCE — The RnB singer recently announced that he was set to release his first audio NFT (non-fungible token).

Kris recently announced that his new single “Future Girl” will be released as an NFT or non-fungible token.

GMA Entertainment reported that Kris’ song would be his first audio NFT to be released in a new NFT market called SongRise. According to him, his new song was in the process of minting at the moment.

At the moment, I am the only Filipino on this platform. Parang ako yung inaugural artist on this platform, so I’m very, very excited about this project,” said Kris.

Kris also said that only about 200 copies of his first audio NFT will be minted. His first audio NFT, which also comes with digital artwork, was his collaboration with Kuya Productions in Canada.

He also shared that customers can get a discount on his concert in the future and can get a discount on his KL merch if they bought his audio NFT.

With this whole NFT place, it’s very, very new. Like I said, it’s very limitless and millions and millions of that are still being explored to this day,” Kris said. “I really see this as the future.

While Kris started on building his digital assets, he said that he would still create songs that were for commercial release.

He shared that he’s going to tap as many venues as he can and still do the music thing the “old-fashioned way”.

Based on a report on GMA Entertainment, Kris revealed that he collaborated with Arthur Nery, have a new song cover, and decided to cover Regine Velasquez’s song “Dadalhin”.

According to him, he has a timeline of about 5 songs that were to be released in 2022.

Prior to this, actress and singer Nadine Lustre launched her own audio NFT on the Enter.Audio platform, minting 1,031 copies of her latest single “Wait for Me”.
