Jose Sarasola and Maria Ozawa, end relationship
JOSE SARASOLA – The Filipino celebrity chef confirmed that he and his girlfriend Maria Ozawa have broken up.
The Kapuso actor-chef made the confirmation on Thursday morning, January 13, 2022.
According to him, their separation after four (4) years of a long-distance relationship (LDR) was “mutual.”
“To be honest, wala na kami. It’s been difficult, e, it’s been very hard. LDR is very hard. We never expect this to be difficult. We tried, ha,” he said.
It can be recalled that it was in the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic when Maria Ozawa decided to return to Japan with Jose being left here in the Philippines.
According to Jose, they thought then that COVID would end up quickly and everything would return to normal. But they never thought it would last until now.
Because Maria is a Japanese national, she must also follow the travel guidelines enforced by the Philippines.
The situation was manageable for both of them at first until they have found it difficult and ended up parting ways.
The couple was supposed to celebrate their fifth anniversary this coming February but they decided to end their relationship in December last year.
Despite breaking up, they still remain friends.
Meanwhile, Maria Ozawa is now busy with her resto-bar business in Tokyo at the same time her YouTube channel.
Jose, on the other hand, is busy with his projects, endorsement, and restaurant business.
He also appears in a cooking show titled “Eat Well, Live Well, Stay Well” alongside Iya Villania.
The show is sponsored by a Japanese multinational food and biotechnology corporation and it premieres its first episode for Season 3 last Friday, January 8.
