The management returns the items left in the pockets of its customers’ clothes such as money and jewelry.

That’s why Wash ME Laundromat-San Francisco is now being dubbed as an “honesty laundry shop.”

It can be read in the caption on its Facebook post last December 2021: “We value integrity more than anything else.”

Attached to the post are pictures of the customers’ washed clothes- placed in plastic and the valuables found including peso bills and jewelry like pendants and earrings.

The said post has gone viral and reposted on the social networking site several times.

In an interview, Pharesee Pura, the owner of the laundry shop said: “It’s a blessing beyond measure.”

Pharesee is currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Her business partner, brother Florfel Mejia is the one managing their business.

Pharesee did not expect that many would admire their post, returning the customer’s money.

According to her, being honest is their way to attract more customers.

She also wants to become an inspiration for those who are new in the business.

She shared that it was during the last quarter of 2019 when she and her brother started the laundry shop in Davao City.

Their business boomed until the pandemic happened prompting them to shut down their business.

Eventually, she talked to her cousin whose owing a fitness center in Agusan del Sur, and decided to establish a laundry shop-fitness center.

“And while nagpapalaba yung mga customer po namin, they can use the gym equipment. Yun po ang naging additional service namin sa laundry shop,” she said.
